Thilde: How She Cured Electromagnetic Hypersensitivities, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity

Summary

Thilde lived for years with severe chemical and electromagnetic sensitivities that forced her into isolation and a life built around avoidance. She wore a respirator, lived outdoors, and was unable to use basic technology. After discovering DNRS, she experienced rapid changes and began re-engaging with the world. Her story reflects how addressing limbic system impairment through consistent practice can open the door to renewed independence and possibility.

A Life Defined by Avoidance

For years, Thilde’s life became centered around what she had to avoid.

She lived with multiple chemical sensitivities and electromagnetic sensitivities for eight years. Everyday environments felt overwhelming. Even short trips into town required a respirator, and the effects didn’t end when she left.

“I would come out… and get sick from the residual fragrance or chemicals that would be stuck in my hair, my clothes.”

The drive home could be just as difficult. Over time, even basic things became inaccessible. She couldn’t use a computer or watch television, and even using a phone required special accommodations. She relied on a low-EMF phone and a specially modified vehicle to manage her environment.

“My life… had been a life of avoidance.”

Leaving Her Life Behind

Eventually, the impact reached every part of her life. She left New York City, where she had been living and working, and her career came to a stop. She described herself as disabled.

For a period of time, she lived outside in a tent. It was the only way to create an environment where her body felt stable enough to function.

Discovering Something Different

Thilde first heard about DNRS through a friend.

What stood out immediately was that someone had recovered not only from chemical sensitivities, but also electromagnetic sensitivities. That was something she hadn’t heard before.

“I thought I needed to find out about that.”

She looked into it, found Annie Hopper’s work, and decided to attend a workshop in Bancroft, Canada. When she arrived, she was still wearing her mask and camping outside, unsure of what to expect.

A Shift That Happened Quickly

Within just a few days, things began to change.

“I felt a major shift in my brain.”

She began to understand what had been happening, that her reactions were connected to patterns in the brain that could change through brain rewiring. During the workshop, she stopped wearing her mask. She moved indoors and slept in a bed again for the first time in years.

“I haven’t worn a mask since.”

These weren’t gradual changes. They were immediate, noticeable shifts in how she could exist in her environment.

Returning to the World

Since then, Thilde’s life has expanded in ways that once felt impossible.

She can now go into stores with strong fragrances, including places like Home Depot, without reacting. She recently spent time in New York City, visiting restaurants, museums, and galleries.

“I had a lot of fun. This I could not have done before.”

She’s using a computer again and beginning to rebuild her work as a photographer, something that once felt completely out of reach.

“I can see that I have a career ahead of me again.”

What stands out most is how she describes her life now.

“I can be in the world again. I can have fun. I can do pretty much what a normal person does.”

For Thilde, that change is everything.

“The DNRS workshop has given me back my life.”
