Interpreting the Checklist
DNRS may warrant further consideration when indicators are present across several areas (sensitization patterns, multisystem symptoms and functional impairment, meaning a reduced ability to perform daily activities due to symptoms) and appropriate medical assessment and treatment are already in place.
The presence of an individual symptom or diagnosis does not, by itself, establish suitability. Patient interest, expectations, readiness and ability to participate consistently should also inform the clinical conversation.
