Discovering a New Way of Being

Summary

Lisa experienced long-standing symptoms beginning in childhood, including food sensitivities and exertional limitations, which progressed into chronic fatigue, environmental sensitivities, and debilitating illness in adulthood. Despite extensive medical care and alternative treatments, her condition remained unresolved and increasingly restrictive. After discovering DNRS, she experienced a profound shift, leading to recovery across physical, emotional, and cognitive levels. Her story reflects how addressing limbic system patterns can support lasting healing and a renewed way of experiencing life.

Early Symptoms and a Gradual Decline

Lisa’s symptoms began early in life, showing up as digestive issues and food intolerances during childhood.

As a young adult, she began experiencing physical limitations that affected her ability to stay active. Activities she once enjoyed—running, hiking, and sports—gradually became more difficult or impossible.

These early patterns continued to build over time, setting the stage for more significant challenges later on.

When Everything Collapsed

In 2010, Lisa experienced her first major crash after starting a night shift position.

Within a few months, she was no longer able to work and struggled to carry out basic daily functions. Although she eventually recovered and returned to normal life, a second and more severe decline began years later after moving into a water-damaged home in 2015.

This time, the symptoms were more complex and persistent.

“In September 2016, I crumpled… and this time I didn’t recover.”

For the next several years, her life became centered around managing fatigue, brain fog, and the inability to meet even basic needs.

She spent over two years searching for answers, working with conventional doctors and exploring a wide range of alternative therapies. Testing revealed layers of potential diagnoses, including hormone imbalance, inflammatory conditions, and Lyme disease.

While some treatments offered temporary relief, nothing addressed the root of her symptoms.

“My life continued to be very limited.”

The Moment Everything Made Sense

Lisa discovered DNRS through her naturopath, but at first, the idea of committing to the program felt overwhelming.

She was still struggling to find a safe living environment, reacting to one place after another.

Then something shifted.

“I was running from my own brain… and it was following me wherever I went.”

This realization became a turning point.

Instead of continuing to search for the perfect external solution, she began to understand her symptoms through a different lens—one that pointed to patterns within the brain itself.

With that clarity, she committed fully to the program.

“I knew it was the way out.”

From Surviving to Thriving

After implementing DNRS, Lisa began to experience steady and meaningful change.

Over time, she found herself returning to daily life with more energy, resilience, and ease. Activities that once required careful management became natural again, and she was able to move through her days feeling calm and grounded.

“I feel amazing and effortlessly calm through it all.”

Beyond physical improvements, the most significant shift has been internal.

She describes living in the present moment, no longer caught in constant mental or physical stress, but instead experiencing a deep sense of contentment and stability.

“I live in the present moment… I’m content to just be.”

Her life is no longer defined by survival, but by a renewed ability to engage, create, and appreciate the simple moments of daily living.

For Lisa, recovery has not only restored her health—it has transformed how she experiences life itself.

“There are hundreds of people on the DNRS Community Forum right now who know darkness and suffering, who are finding their way out of the darkness using the tools of the program. In some way, I intuitively knew that my symptoms and allergies did not define me. This program held the answer that made so much sense to me – all my symptoms were manifestations of a limbic injury. All of them. Having a limbic system impairment does not mean ‘it’s all in your head’ or ‘your symptoms aren’t real.’ It’s an actual, physical injury that happens in the subconscious part of the brain, and then results in dysfunction that affects any or all systems of the body, including the immune and detoxification systems. If you are someone who feels like you have tried everything and you barely have the courage to try one more thing, know that this program really is the miracle so many of us were looking for, and we are recovering and reclaiming our lives!

This program did so much more than I expected it to. Not only has it been the answer for my chemical and mold sensitivities, allowed my body to fight off Lyme, and restored my energy, it has also been a complete reboot physically, mentally, and emotionally. Looking back, I can see that I was stuck in a fight-or-flight mode for many years. Now, not only do I have my life back, I have a whole new way of experiencing life. It’s like going from surviving to absolutely thriving. Every day I feel grateful for this beautiful gift!”
