Madison used the Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS) to fully recover from Central Sensitization also known as Limbic System Impairment. She no longer has symptoms of extreme chemical sensitivities, light and sound sensitivities and chronic pain.
Madison’s Story of Healing
“My life [is] just overflowing with joy. What used to be impossible is now the norm for my entire life. And I believe that it is possible for anyone out there suffering from Limbic System Impairment.”
Madison’s Journey Before DNRS
Madison was bed-bound due to Severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS). Unable to be in most environments due to severe chemical, light, and sound sensitivities and chronic pain, she spent months locked inside her bedroom. She could only tolerate the light from a small lamp in the corner of the room. She slowly lost contact with her family and friends and only left her house to go to the hospital.
“I was trying in any way I could to eliminate every possible trigger, but still, I kept getting more and more sick. Someone in an apartment down the hall would use a cleaning product, and I would be sick for days.”
Things only continued to get worse. Madison saw multiple doctors and specialists, and no one was able to provide answers or clarity on her symptoms. Soon, she became fully reliant on her partner to care for her. She lost significant amounts of weight and was unable to keep food down. Her pain became so bad that she soon stopped speaking altogether. She felt hopeless, broken and alone.
“I was skin and bones. I was so weak, and I was in constant pain. I would reach a 10/10 on a pain scale every single day from the body aches and the headaches. I had removed everything that had ever come into contact with fragrance in my home. I donated all of my clothes and almost everything I owned.”
Madison was forced to quit her job, and soon things got so bad that eventually when she had to leave her home to see her doctor, she would cover her entire body with protective layers, including a gas mask because she had become sensitive to everything around her.
“I had absolutely no life. I was really reaching a point where I feared I would become homeless from this condition. I also did not believe I would survive.”
Madison Discovers DNRS
Madison heard about the Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS) one day while lying in bed listening to a podcast about pain.
“I actually had no idea what DNRS was. I knew nothing about Annie Hopper and she started to share her story, and I just burst into tears. I sent it out to everyone I knew; I finally had found my answer and, for the first time in nearly a year, was feeling some level of hopefulness.”
Madison immediately dedicated herself to the DNRS program. She diligently worked through each Pillar and committed herself to doing her practice for an hour every day. Almost immediately, she noticed a change.
“My partner watched me in shock on the very first day when I just put on all my gear, my gas mask, sunglasses, everything, and just walked out of the apartment and took a walk on my own. It was the first time I had done something like that in eight months. It was incredible!”
Not only did Madison begin to see the chronic and debilitating symptoms that had plagued her life for the last year melt away, but her mental well-being and emotional state transformed as well.
She became calmer and happier, and with more that she was able to do in her daily life, she was soon “overflowing with joy.”
“Every little thing I was getting back into my life was so meaningful. I was able to eventually go to restaurants, I could go to the park every day. These things were just amazing to me, and slowly, you know, the sunglasses, the earplugs, the gas mask, it all got stripped away.”
Madison’s Experience With DNRS Support Services
While Madison implemented the DNRS program, she also took advantage of several of the available support services, including LIVING DNRS.
In particular, the LIVING DNRS Sessions motivated her the most and deepened her ability to heal.
“Getting to hear people’s stories was so inspiring because it really conditions your brain to understand you can have that success, too. And I really want to say that if you think that you can’t have the same outcome of recovery, just try it. You have nothing left to lose. The experience and the journey of doing DNRS is even more rewarding than the result of your symptoms leaving.”
Madison also found motivation and support in the Global Community Forum. In fact, she met someone who was also implementing the DNRS program and lived just down the street from her. The two of them would meet to support one another and celebrate their progress.
“I just feel seen and understood by someone, and that was such a special experience.”
Before the DNRS program, Madison was unable to leave her house without a gas mask, spending entire days laying in bed listening to podcasts and searching for answers. She lost everything and feared she wouldn’t survive her devastating chronic symptoms.
After the DNRS program, Madison has no problem leaving her house and spending quality time with her friends and family. She feels a deep sense of joy and gratitude for every day she has.
“I feel like I have grown so much as a person just from doing this program and from really dedicating myself to it and being open to change. You really can change entirely as a person, grow so much, and have such a fulfilling life by giving yourself the space to take six months, a year, however long it might take, to help yourself with the [DNRS] program.”
Things that used to feel impossible for Madison, like going to the grocery store or spending time at the park, are now the norm for her entire life.
Madison’s message to anyone still suffering:
“I really hope you take the chance and find the support you need through DNRS because this level of healing is possible for me and it’s possible for you too. I’ve been there, and I know how hard it is, but there’s life on the other side.”
The DNRS program has helped thousands of people around the world heal from severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and other chronic life-altering symptoms. Madison’s success story is one of many posted on our website that highlights how addressing the neurological aspect of chronic symptoms through brain retraining can lead to healing.
